Built by the Reid Brothers in 1928, the theatre is a historical wonder and was inducted into the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. During a regular year, the theatre draws over 100,000 patrons to its venue for music, theatre, and performances. Famous artists and celebrities who have performed in the theatre include Etta James, President Barack Obama, Neil Young, BB King, and Oprah Winfrey.
