Things To Do In Redwood Shores
Redwood Shores’ prime location in the Bay means residents are just a car ride away from gorgeous expanses of blue oceanfront along the Pacific Ocean or the quiet beauty of the redwood forests in the rolling California hills. Bair Island offers views of the bay and a wide variety of wildlife. With over 3,000 acres of tidal channels, mudflats, and salt marsh vegetation, Bair Island is a hotspot for birds and marine wildlife. The Fox Theatre is located in downtown Redwood City, located 10 minutes outside of Redwood Shores. Built by the Reid Brothers in 1928, the theatre is a historical wonder and was inducted into the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. During a regular year, the theatre draws over 100,000 patrons to its venue for music, theatre, and performances. Famous artists and celebrities who have performed in the theatre include Etta James, President Barack Obama, Neil Young, BB King, and Oprah Winfrey.
